While maritime traffic account for over 80% of international freight transport, research on maritime transport, port organizations and the territorial impact of these activities is relatively poorly represented in the French laboratories. Based on this observation, the DEVPORT project brings together researchers from different laboratories and universities. It wishes to initiate the establishment of a network that will help popularize these fields of research in the academia sphere but also in the maritime and port business world.
